A regular meeting of the Django Software Foundation Board of Directors was held via teleconference starting on 13 June, 2013, 10am CST. Russell Keith-Magee led the meeting.

DjangoCon US pricing

The board is in conversations with Steve Holden over the price of the conference. This year fixed costs abnormally high. There is consideration for cutting some elements such as the evening receptions to reduce costs.

Django website

The ongoing redesign of djangoproject.com. Adrian to reach out to some designers for possible estimates.

Malcolm Tredinnick fund

Russell clarified that the aim of the fund is to provide financial assistance to developers for conference travel. Jeremy is to work on creating a draft for specifying winning criteria for the fund. Hoping to get the fund in place for this years DjangoCon US.

Russell replied to a question about Django marketing.

Sponsorship of Kiwi PyCon

A request for sponsorship was made by Kiwi Pycon. This was approved by the board and amount confirmed by Joseph.

Django Software Foundation Membership

Tim Graham was added as a developer member of the Foundation. It was recommended that all Django committers should gain developer membership automatically. Russell is to review all committers to check that they have developer membership.
